Wool is naturally antibacterial, so in most cases simply airing out your garment is enough to refresh it. However, if your item gets stained or needs a deeper clean follow these gentle washing steps to keep it in great condition.

1. Spot Clean When Possible

If there’s a stain, try removing it with a damp cloth and mild wool detergent or Marseille soap instead of washing the entire item.

2. Hand Wash for Best Results

When washing is necessary use lukewarm water (around 30°C) and a gentle wool detergent or Marseille soap. Avoid stretching or rubbing the fabric during the wash.

3. Be Gentle with Drying

After washing gently, tap the excess water out with a towel. Lay the item flat to maintain its shape.

Wool Washing Tips:

• Avoid frequent washing – hanging out to air is usually enough.
• Always use a mild wool detergent to protect the fibers.
• Never twist or wring the fabric, as it can lose its shape.
• Store folded instead of hanging to prevent stretching.
