Cutting Waste Sweater is created as a result of years of work. The sweater is inspired by fisherman's sweaters and it is durable, thick and long-lasting. This is an oversized style. We recommend sizing down for regular fit.
What makes our sweater special? The sweater is made from the cutting waste of our merino wool beanies. The cutting waste generated from our production is the same valuable and pure 100% organic merino wool that we use in our products. We think it is important to get the high-quality material back into use and reduce the waste in our production. Using recycled fibers significantly saves energy and water compared to the dyeing and manufacturing process of virgin fibers.
50% of the sweater is our own cutting waste wool. In order to make the yarn durable enough, artificial fibers are added. The synthetic fibers are also 100% recycled. Polyamide gives the yarn elasticity and softness, and polyester gives it strength. 5% are other fibers, e.g. seam threads in the cutting waste.
The yarn manufacturer has a GRS certificate.
